2dishes, 1contents

I won’t belabor stuff I’ve gone on (and on and on) about here before. It’s a truth universally acknowledged that I love both Caprese salads and pasta. And that I’ve been on a Jane Austen binge, obviously.

Point is, it’s kind of neat that I made two such different dishes from pretty much the same stuff. Arugula, basil, tomato, olive oil…but nothing alike in how the final dish comes out.

In this corner:

Plate with Caprese salad (tomato, mozzarella, basil, olive oil and vinegar) and arugula.

Arugula is full of nutrients! That makes this healthy, right?

In this corner:

Plate containing penne with arugula and tomato.

Especially in the case of pasta, I’ve been practicing a lot of self-denial lately. That just made this that much better.

At final bell, it was a tie.
